You can't. Kazaa downloads files from multiple users at one time (hence good speeds for good file availability) , WinMX downloads from single users at a time. If a person has limited bandwidth then your download will be slow.
Only way, is to pick users with a good connection (DSL - T3)

Just tried using win mx after being a kazza user. I have a 512kb connection speed, but my downlaod speed on win mx is about 2.0kbs with many users. I am used to 60kbs on kazza so how can I improve it?

Untrue, Winmx also allows files to be downloaded from multiple users, it's just if the other users don't have a free upload slot then you'll be put in a queue for that user.
unlike Kazaa, winmx does tell you what position in the queue for that user you are.

You can now specify how many simultanious uploads/download you want your pc to handle. Version 3 is a lot better than 2 was.
I find the best way to get a faster download is highlight the file in the transfer window, and change the "Enter Queue" option to 100 (normally set to 10, if set to 100 then you can be entered in a queue of 100 or less as opposed to 10 or less) and the Auto Retry to every 10 mins.
