Phil, distiller actually creates pdf documents, and when installed creates the pdf/postscript printer.
The reader, is , "as it says on the tin".Only reads them.

Question

Just setting up my new laptop

this one has Adobe Reader 6.0 on it

On my last laptop I had a program that was called Distiller it came up on my printer list and created a .PDF file when printing from any program

Old laptop now defunct so I can't copy it

Any idea where I can get this from [I cant find it on the adobe website]

I have the latest version installed and if I look in Printers I can see 'Adobe PDF Writer' I imagine it's the same thing.

Thanks all I can see on the website is the free reader so perhaps I have to this software

drop us an email via profile if you want a free solution to your pdf creating problems, all u need to do is download a free programme and install a virtual printer that prints to disk :-)

I have this setup on our intranet site using php and it works a treat and is free.

Did i mention it was free.
