i have a bug eye jap import wrx before i put it on a rollen road can some one tell me what bhp to expect i think its all standed except sti exhaust i also think its a vvt engine or are they all. im no expert but im sure some one on here is thanks p

not a guru but euro import 218 iirc, jap import would be 276

 

Thanx Mr. Cookie! But how do you know whether it's Euro import or Jap Import?Can you give me some tips to recognise it?Recently,I looked for a replacement bumper(as I cracked mine) and couldn't get one coz it got recognised as a Jap import.I am having probs in getting a screw on petrol cap too which clicks at the last turn.You see,the seller( recognised garage)didn't give me enough info(apart from full service history) when I bought it.1st owner of my car was in Ireland.

They definitely did make a MY01 WRX same shape as UK WRX and its power was reduced to about 250PS (the JDM MY00 WRX was 280PS) the MY01 JDM STI was still sold as 280PS.

 

They dont make the mY01 shape anymore as they shape changed again for MY03 perhaps that what they meant. Like the UK they were only made for MY01 and MY02
