Here's a warning to all (there's a few of us now i reckon!) Kimberley (Notts) Scoobs.
Last night 10.10pm they tried to get in the house for the keys to the Scoob...and we were in!
Three of em and i caught em up the street....
They (ahem) had to leave :-), but not before promising revenge in the way of torching scoob and house!
Wife called 999 as we were (ahem)fighting in street - three more 999 calls and 1hour 45mins later plod arrived (Rapid Response?).
I beleive theives were from Bulwell area as that was what one of em Squealed sorry..said :-).
This is not made up, i have all the incident numbers etc.
You have been warned so be prepared (as i was) and don't rely on plod coz it aint gonna happen!

Dave.

Gig - No probs.

Newby - Save the applause mate. We move house in 3 or 4 weeks and in my mind this won't be over till then.

So to get instant response just say one of them had something in his pocket that looked like a gun ?

Must remember that, probably get done for wasting police time though

I can't belive the police took so long to respond
C'mon want revenue are they going to make from responding to this ? They were probably out with the laser gun somewhere, far more cash rewarding

My girlfriend works in a city centre supermarket and on occaisions has to call the police due to blatant shopliffting. I worry because she confronts them knowing that if she doesn't they will get away with anything they choose. The police generally turn up and 2-3 hours later ? What use is that ? I'm not saying they should be there instantly, but within 5-10 mins when a genuine crime is happening. The skumbags know this and take advantage.

So I'm not in the least bit surprised at this response

you run a very really risk of being seriously hurt(or worse) if you enter my house without an invite.
Fight the power brother, a good trick is to check their pockets for a wallet or something, that scares em. although pro`s know not to carry.
Also, dont tell the police they have a gun, tell them you have a gun. Wasting police time, sorry, its that or waste the scum bag maggot who tries his luck.
hope you move ok and be done with it.
flame suit on

Feel sorry for the poor buggers who move in to your house if the scumbags carry out their threat ( which I doubt they'd have the ***** to do ). Anyway, I'm glad you gave them hell!
( I'm in Notts too)

999 "intruder on premises" is one of the highest categories of emergency call, and you really should pursue this with Notts Police, if only for the sake of the other clients of that Force - which, incidentally - is one of the keenest persecutors of speeders

FFS that is truly crap, I am shocked. If the would be thieves had been 'tooled up' and got really nasty you would be in hospital before the police turned up

<<1hour 45mins later plod arrived>>

Now why doesn't that surprise most motorist-taxpayer-non-scumbags in T.B.Liars' Britain??

Quickest way to get police to your house is to register for a gun licence.

I know this works, a bloke i know had an attempted burglary at his property and an armed response was sent in minutes of his call to the police.

Firstly respec' to da big man

Isn't it about time we got our own back on plod and starting enforcing fines for not meeting certain service standards.

£40 basic fine for no attendance within 15 minutes of a call out rising by a pound a minute. Before anyone mentions hoaxers there has to be a way of proving a crime has been committed.

I'm sick of plod now. We regularly have mobile speed traps at the end of my road. Not that I condone speeding by any stretch but my road at 10pm at night ain't as dangerous as the road half a mile away where young thugs are terrosing the elderly. What do plod do ? Shrug their shoulders and say kids will be kids.

BTW - if you tell the police "you think they may have been armed"

the response I got was "it's probably a BB gun"

No wonder vigilante gangs are now the preferred "law" enforcement huh..

well done for giving them what-for

Sunday night my best mate tried to stop 4 thugs wrecking his car - got his nose fractured in 20 places and his face totally mashed, and his wallet taken with £250 in... Bet they were chuffed - came out to vandalise a car and went home rich bu**ers!

The law sucks, i believe that if someone wants to commit a crime against you no matter how small you should be able to beat them senseless,

If they dont want the beating they shouldn't do it.... end of

Why should we wait for them to hit us before were allowed to retaliate, there the ones who shouldn't be there...

I have one of those Kosh's and they are very good, small and solid

Bout time the thieving scum of this earth got what they deserve.

A bloke I know is into ham radio in a big way and has so much gear that it's probably worth more than a 22B...

he has it all set up in a small room with no windows and only 1 door, so anybody wants any of it - there's only 1 way in...

He's got the door handle wired up to the main electric, so someone will be in for a shock... (no pun intended)

My neighbour has just been over to say that here trailor was nicked off the drive last night. It was there at 9 0'clock when she was watering the plants, but not at 11 when her husband came home. She was in the whole time, the windows were open being a hot summer evening, and the trailor was parked on a gravel drive. She heard nothing. The worst thing is the trailor (a box type trailor) was full of kiddies gym equipment, so there are going to be a lot of disappointed kids for a few weeks till she can replace the trailor and all the kit. I still can't believe they did it during the evening with so many people about. I know its only a sleepy village I live in, but everybody knows everybody, and also knows that that trailor doesn't move in the hours of darkness.
