Does anyone use these? Do they just connect to original mounting points or are additional ones needed?

Any pics would be nice, how much do they cost?

I have a 4 point Sabelt harness - mounts to front and rear seat belt mounting points - you replace original bolts with eyebolts so harness can be clipped in and out.

Same as trigger. I just replaced the bolts with eye bolts and left the standard belts in place too. Mines a 3" (I think) luke 3 point harness

Usual caveat applies - ie beware 'cos if you have these & no cage then if you roll, it could possibly do you severe head/spinal injury due to the inability of your body to move sideways when the roof compresses

Otherwise any rally spares type shop with prices from £30 - £100s

Other standard issue is that the standard issue Subaru seats aren't designed to deal with the load generated by harness straps over your shoulders. Therefore, to use a harness, its recommend that you install fixed back racing seats.

I don't remember the exact details, I just know I took my harness out after reading a lengthy thread on it.

Try searching if this concerns you.....

Question to those who use it then, have you got a roll cage and do you use it on the OEM Subaru seats?

I have a harness

I have a roll-cage

I would use OEM seats but could be convinced otherwise.

I will only use harness when roll-cage in

Trouble is that roll cages are not exactly cheap and the insurance companies do not like them either.

Remember bug eye and blob eye are 150kgs heavier partly because they have a built-in roll cage.
