Paul -

Unbloodybelieveable car....I have had the privilege of driving most performance cars over the years (except for Lamborghini and McLaren F1), but the 22B made my heart thump in my chest and I could not stop smiling.

Makes my UK turbo feel like it is running on two cylinders with no turbo and diesel in the tank!

The bloody things ruined my life. Since a kid I wanted a 911. Got my 22 3years ago and now I haven't found another 4 seater car that gives me as much of a buzz, yet to try a 911 turbo though - but I can't fit the darn kids in it.
Damn jap crap Guess I'm stuck with it till they run out of engine blocks LOL

It was amazing - the grunt from 1,500 rpm was great - pulled all the way throught the rev range in all the gears, the car just kept going and going.

PS I am having my 1997 UK Turbo GEMs/mapped in a few weeks as it feels very "flat" at the moment.

PPS I will have the engine rebuit next year with a 2.2 litre conversion - ain't no substitute for cubic inches.

Are we talking std 22B? Or modified?

There's a huge difference IMHO.

Etheridge-Bird - be interested on your 2.2 engine details later...

I keep seeing 22B's for sale, and keep thinking abot getting out a loan and going for one.. but have to convince the missus first..!!

Glad you had the experience of being in one..

Like D6ale's banner states ' I WANT ONE..!!! '
