Help help help!!

The body shop have just phoned to confirm my paint code before they spray up my STi6 splitter.

I'm at work and the car's at home so I can't check it!

I'm sure they made a note of the colour code, but they seem to be having a problem(!)

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys...
Dan

Thanks mate.

Talking

the body shop might have lost my code, but they're not stupid enough to paint it green. He knows it's blue, cos he loves it!

I did think that I was putting a lot of trust in a web posting, but then I did seem kind of familiar when I read it...!

definately DEEP blue...

stop putting doubts in my mind!! If Talizman got it off his car (a my00) then it will be deep blue. Dark blue was a different year.

and yes, I know my username is darkblueturbo, but deepblueturbo sounded a bit sh1te!

Deep blue mica is on MY00 cars onwards.
Dark blue mica was replaced by deep blue mica which is lighter than Dark BM but darker than Terzo/22B blue.

But, there are variants in the shade, hopefully its a good bodyshop that'll get a match!

the 22b / terzo was called reddish blue, I believe.

I know the P1 was sonic blue cos I WANTED one but they cost lots to insure(!)

The body shop colour coded my side and rear sills the other month and it's a great match so I'm confident on the front splitter.
Also getting the WRC front grille and those 'orrible orange wedges painted blue.

Although the car looks great without them in I'll put them back in cos it'll be silly having holes there when there's a spoiler below it.

I'd say check the members gallery for posts at the weekend but I've got about 3 rolls of film (no digi camera!) to develop from since I got the car still sitting in my fridge so there's no hope!

I'm babbling lots aren't I?!!

Thanks for the code.

Anyone going to Brighton front first Saturday in June. Should be fun!

The 22B and Terzo although similar to Reddish Blue (830) are actually Blue Metallic (74F). The P1 is also this colour and is sometimes referred to as "Sonic Blue" or "WR Blue"

I believe the current (and proper) WR Blue as seen on STI 8, is called "WR Blue mica" (code 02C). Perhaps someone could keep us right?
Cheers

Actually believe it or not the P1, 22B, terzo are all paint code 74F known as sonic blue but if you go into halfords they have it listed as Subaru New Rally Blue 74F. I know because I colour coded the orange wedges in the bumper . This colour 74F was available as part of the normal colour range on European model and JDMs.

Although your car is Dark Blue Mica and a MY00, you will probably find that it was built and painted a bit earlier, and registered in 2000, that would explain the anomalies. IMO.

I'm using Prestige in Westcliff (nr. Southend). Can't remember the cost to be honest (yes they are fitting it) but I've got it written down at home somewhere...

They charged £200 for the side and rear sills and that was a top quality job!
