Anyone fitted STi Mud Flaps?
Iain,
Fantastic web site and fantastic motor. Other than PPP and STi kick strips mine is standard.
I must now get the flaps, did you buy them direct from Subaru UK or elsewhere as prices do seem to vary.
I also looked at the 3 dial instrument cluster, again I really do think this adds something to the motor so am keen also, again, could you tell me what you paid etc.
Do you find that you miss the clock??
100 questions sorry :-)

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the comments. PPP is one of the next things on the list, along with some bigger wheels (18" probably) and the Prodrive spring kit
All I need to work out is how to get some money to pay for it all (and the insurance hike)
I got the mudflaps from my local dealer, but as I was buying them at the same time as the 1 year bodywork service, they didn't charge me for the service (a one off because I've bought quite a bit from them over the last few years
).
I got the gauges from Nitosport (they have a banner ad, but their website is here). Nito fitted the pod / gauges for me as well, and I the total price came to about £700 (which is quite a bit cheaper than the subaru gauges and I think they look a lot better IMHO
). He also wired the illumination into the bright switch, so if I don't want them lit up at night, I can turn them off.
To be honest I don't miss the clock because if I'm that desperate to know the time I look at my watch, (or I can display a clock on my radio). Think the look and usefulness of the gauges far outweighs the inconvienience of not having the clock.
Hope that helps....

I got mine from Simpsons of Swindon about 2 months ago. They didn't have any trouble getting hold of them (took about 2 days to arrive). They're still listed on the accessories page of the subaru website as well.

Strangely enough I'm from Swindon
Sorry to hear they've been discontinued. Limited appeal I suppose. As for selling mine, sorry mate - hands off
Perhaps it would be worth enquiring about the replacements in June?

My P1 is in for an engine rebuild after big ends went last week! I spoke to the dealer about putting STi rally style flaps on the car for me and after three or four calls they told me that they had been discontinued. It seems that they are only selling them in Japan!
Have just been to see how the car is coming along and they have a set of flaps there for me. They are not the ones in the catalogue, but they look the business. Looks as though they have a contact in Japan who has worked some magic!

Mikey,
Can I please have the details and I will call them and ask? Do the one's you have seen have the STi on or not?
I bet you can't wait for the P1 back, I sold mine for the STi8 PPP, what happened to yours?
Thanks

Hi mate,
It seems that no.4 big end went after a problem with the oil feed or something like that!
Not that clued up when it comes to those enginge components, anyway they are replacing no.4 conrod and piston, crankshaft, MAF sensor and oil pump!
The flaps are the same colour as my P1 and have STi stickers in white on them and thay are a nylon/ plastic material that is very flexible. The dealer needs to cut them to shape to fit the car!
I am picking the car up on Saturday ( touch wood! ) so will ask them on your behalf whether they can source any more. I think they said they were about £80
