Now on my 2nd Impreza, an 03 WRX, I registered into this forum expecting it to be a celebration of the car that I am pleased to own, and thrilled to drive. Instead, the lion’s share of the posts seem to be from grumblers who, for various reasons, regret having bought a Subaru. “Scoobys are too commen (sic), I want an Escort”, “ My Scoob is falling to bits after just 6 months”etc. There are many more. Also, judging from the spelling and grammar, they seem to be written by a bunch of half-wits whose education ended when they were six years old. Occasionally, there emerges a topic that can be of use to us all such as the flat spot on acceleration with PPP upgrades, but they are few and far between. I’ve previously owned several big badge cars, including a dreadful BMW, and I would not care to trade any of them my present car.

It's significant that the replies here are all coherent and present a reasoned alternative view, but that's my point. People making sensible comments seem to be capable of writing whilst the fantasy pages barely make sense. It could be that some of these people are imposters.

I'm sick of old school teachers moaning about people moaning!

(that reply was just to balance it out a bit for you)

it's not a challenge of wits or anything of that nature, but scoobynet is really here for people (subaru fans and owners alike) to air their grievances or otherwise; to give and receive information (how ever useful) and to share their motoring experiences. it's not a bit of grumbling if a user lets it be known that their beloved new car is falling apart after only 6 months as i for one would surely like to know why and hope that my car wouldn't have the same faults. BTW, i don't really think anyone will be celebrating matters such as writing off their car or finding that their new car squeaks all over the place. so just take it easy on some of "the" guys hey?

hope that you're enjoying your new wrx

ps. missed out the "the" and don't want you to pick up on my grammar :P

Chill out Dave, dont take it all to heart, ive had a scoob for a couple of years now but ive only been on here a couple of weeks. Some stuff ive seen on here has made me "think" but i have never had any complaints at all about my ole' 96MY Type RA and ive just sold that to get another one, so nothing has or will put me off a scoob! Although mine is an import, i shall not go into the import v U.K subject, its all horses for courses i spose but i know which id rather have!
As for the half wits ermmmmm...........
