they get shipped to ireland

at last count we have nearly 20 ex wrc Imprezas!!! with the car Tommi used on the Monte (this year) also being run here, the Irish tarmac Championship is bveing renamed the Subaru Road show LOL

Someone bought Solbergs old car

I wonder if they can spin it as well as he can?

they are all competing still, www.crspics.com have some nice shots... most ex WRC cars are resold as competitive vehicles, Prodrive have a long succesful history in Irish Rallying with most of our top drivers using imprezas... an irish driver also had the top placed Subaru in this years Monte... AFAIK the cars retail for E300,000-E450,000 approx depending on package... i suppose it offsets costs for the major teams, we also have a few Ex WRC Corrolas...

 

Are the parts generally standard Subaru parts or once off specially made items i.e. how difficult are they to maintain?

 

There were some for sale onthe autotrader website last week.

 

Prodrive the offical works team offer full parts service , there are quite a few competent rally prep firms here that maintain the cars, McKinstry, TTI etc... its not uncommon to see prodrive service vans here either, In fact prodrive are debuting their new Group N impreza here in Killarney (may 3/4) for a shakedown, looks good too, hopefully it can give the evos a run for their money LOL
