Does anyone else have a strange clicking noise on the Sti8 when the wipers are on intermitant? It is when the wipers have just finished wiping.

 

It's just the relay operating, nothing to worry about.

 

Yep sounds more like a hydraulic squelchy type noise.
Was going to get it looked at on Saturday during the 1000 mile service

My classic does this also. Panic over guys lol

 

Mine does it, as does my brothers. Sort of fuzzing noise when the wiper clicks off.... doesnt sound too clever. The dealer 'supposedly' ordered 2 new relays... might have to get them to fit them at some point.

Yeah, it only happens when on setting 2-4 (ie not fastest or slowest) of the intermitant wipe, so Im guessing its not by design.

Might get mine looked into when i get my PPP fitted on Monday. Has anyone here had it solved?

 

Borrowed a new Outback yesterday from the dealer (having to put up with some gimpy diatsu (sp?) today ).... and it made a fuzzing noise when the wipers are on intermittant. So either subaru have had X thousand duff relays, or they 'all do that sir', or both

BTW, the outback was a 2.5l jobbie - nice ride actually
