i caught up with the traffic that had accelerated before the 30...
and the guy catches me up... and still clapping like a seal...

then indicates to turn off, still clapping like a seal...

he must have thought i tried to leave him behind...

You should have made a note of his reg number and phoned his boss and complained about his dangerous driving.

That'd teach the ******.

I always take the reg no of this kind of fool- then report them for dangerous driving- hands not on the wheel etc. If we all did this the assh0les would be out of a job. It seems scoobies bring out the worst in other drivers. Since I got mine I've had no end of (unprompted) hassle from other drivers. I guess it must be jealousy.

Yes! Get him sacked for clapping!

Death's too good for 'em! String 'em up.

It's not as if he was doing any harm, is it?????

I think it's a Scottish thing. I was driving up the A74 on the dual carriageway bit overtaking stuff, a slower car pulled out infront of me so I slowed down. A Vauxhall Omega came flying up behind me (120mph, easily) then slammed the anchors on and sat half an inch off my rear bumper. When the slower car moved over I accelerated in 4th back up to my cruising speed and then pulled back into the nearside lane when I'd passed the slower car. Fat B'stard in the Omega pulled alongside and clapped like a seal then proceeded to make sure he boxed me in, then when he passed wagon, he matched speed with it (56mph) to make sure I couldn't pass.

I got my own back when I eventually got passed him and turned off onto the A71 and he was behind me. 29mph all the way to Strathhaven in 2nd gear just to make sure he couldn't pass me back

Had that recently when I was in the MR2. Car had been stood for 5 days in frost, and the front brakes had seized on. Whilst driving through my village at 30, the steering felt funny, so I was weaving right to left ever so slightly (i.e. not going mad), and a wagon driver coming towards me gave me the w4nker sign.

Felt like chasing after him to tell him what I was doing, not that it was any of his business anyway, the tosser

I would like to get these sort of people sacked for behaving in that manner. Preferably banned from driving too. I have no sympathy for these d1cks.
