My boss has a DB6 and is always bragging about how quick it is, it feels slow compared to my scooby, what is the likely outcome if we hit a track one day? Cos thats what he wants to do, just wondering if its wise or not, I personally think i'd kill it but hey, i've never driven a DB6!
I got a uk turbo with decat and tek2 with pagid discs, his db6 is more or less standard apart from a a webber conversion he had done.
Rolling start the DB6 would whoop you, 325bhp. The scoob should have better brakes, more grip etc but on track I wouldn't count it out especially if he can drive well.
really, surprising what you said, its 2ton and 350hp and i'm 1.2tons and 270hp probably. suppose he is rear wheel drive tho.
I remember on the road once when i had a FRST he tried to leave me in a straight line and didnt do too well, you can discount driving ability, we're both as crap as each other, apart from he thinks he isnt, which probably makes me quicker as he'll take chances!
I dont want it tho, it may be a classic car but its not polished, its dented and the interior hasnt been cleaned in years, he is all for owning an aston but too lazy to look after it!
I had a blat with one the other day. Coming off a roundabout I would have left him if he'd given me room, wasn't gaining until he eventually hit third then I left him.
ah wasnt him, doesnt have any stickers damn, would have been nice to go ask him if he had fun with the impreza i'll follow him home one day if he doesnt wanna go around a track!
looking at the performance figures, its like 8secs to 60 which is really really bad if you put it next to an impreza! oh well, i'll get him on the track and be more inclined to put some money on it can anyone recommend a track
from what i have heard the old Astons didnt handle particularly well which means he would have to be a damned good driver (which you say he isnt) to expoloit all its potential .
would have thought straight line there would not be much in it with aston still being beaten but round a track i think you would leave him a long way behind.
IMHO
