Question

Hi folks,

Anyone on here ever been asked if they can use your Scooby as a wedding car. I was asked yesterday if i could do this to take the bride to the Church and then after the wedding to take the bride and the bridegroom to the reception. How cool is that eehh.

The best part is they are going to pay me the going rate for a wedding car.

What do ya think folks.

James.

Cool

Never been asked that but.............

I picked up my 52 WRX in WR blue straight from the dealers in September last year, drove home, got changed, put some white ribbon on and drove myself and the girlfriend straight to our friends wedding on the same day!!! picked it up at 9am with 6 miles on the clock and went to wedding at 1pm.

Got more looks than the Roller wedding car - excellent feeling

Cool

My brother asked me to do the honours for him last year when he got married. Seriously cool and looked super good too thanks to a special valet from Gossy.

I used my black STi7 for my sisters wedding with black ribbons etc.

My sister and husband got married in black as they are into the goth look.

Got a few strange looks from passers by, and outside the church!

Yup! We're being the bridesmaids car in our silver turbo, the brides car is a white WRX

I think Colin with the purple scoob has done a few weddings as well...

Funny you should say that!!
We were asked just two weeks ago to do the very thing and it actually appeared in the local paper, the East Kilbride news.

I have a couple of great pictures of my scoob and also my Rally car complete with white ribbons.

We made sure this groom was getting to his wedding on time!!!

Not wishing to dampen the moment, but doesn't driving 'for hire or reward' invalidate your insurance?

Back in 2000, me & a mate use our MY99 DBMs with white ribbons for bride's car and 2nd car.....both with white ribbons.....

Looked quite good considering both were identical cars and colours.....

Sold car now, so reg doesn't matter!!!

In 2001, Patrick and Caroline from the Dutch Subaru Club used their own White Impreza as their wedding car. 12 more Impreza's were arranged to drive the family members from home to the church.

You can imagine, that it caught the attention of lots of people.

btw. My Impreza is the sixth from the left (I think...)

Took my brother to his wedding in my Legacy B4 RSK last year. Great day car looked super cool, we decided that ribbons on the front were not enough so had several tied off the spolier. Those ribbons are tough, we hit 130 mph and they stayed on......although they were pressed agaist the windscreen.

Ed555 That is a brilliant picture. Dutch Scoobs who would have guessed

I've used mine 3 times now 2 x to get Grooms to wedding and 1 x Mother in laws etc.
Always causes a stir, love it.
Didn't get paid though, did it cos it was cool and i figured that they had already spent a fortune on the wedding anyway
