Why do other car forums have things like "If scooby drivers brains were made of rubber they wouldnt have enough to make a budgies flip flop. and imagine the faces on those poor scooby drivers faces...Scooby who...at the bottom of there post's. Always at scooby's... do they just want one or what?

Quite simply, the Subaru is (or certainly was) the yard stick by which all other value performance cars were measured, according to most magazines.
If something is set up as the measure, then people will want to beat it. Probably down to a complex of some sort

It's not just aimed at Scooby owners. Us Cossie owners go thru that sort of cr@p too. You know the score 'I have a Nova GTE that will beat a Cossie, blah, blah, blah'. Many cars are compared to Scoobys and Cossie and usually the cars being compared are in a different class. i.e. you cannot compare a rear wheel drive car to a 4x4, or you cannot compare a FWD to a RWD all totally different cars.

Guilty as charged, it was me on the GTIROC forum.
I am sure most scooby owners will take this with a pinch of salt, just friendly banter between the top motors on the road today, I will change it to cossie of you want!

They might all be upset that the Turbo was number 14 in the 50 cars you have to drive before you die poll.
EVO, Supra, Cossie didn't show at all.... number 50 was the Sinclair C5 (not even a car)!!

I have a mate who runs another forum and off the record he says it is perceived that most Scooby owners are polishers rather than drivers... They say we boast of having a real Rally car and are blindly arrogant that it is better than all other cars - esp other Jap cars!
It is of course clearly better than all other Jap cars (esp those Skyline limos). Mine hasnt seen polish in 6 months and also gets to go sideways now and again - so this CAN NOT POSSIBLY BE TRUE
