Who lets their other half drive their scoob.....
My other half has driven my last 3 scoobies over a 5 year period. She is currently doing the school run in an STi7 while I drive a Polo to work Monday to Friday. Have to say she always drives it slowly (compared to me) and never gives me cause for concern.

I bought the car as my own, but now I have a company car so the misses use the Scoob in the week for work, I use the Scoob in the week end to drive around.
Pretty safe because I have a full insurance, Viasat and alarm with GSM connection. And the car is parked safely.
She runs it now for a year, no speeding tickets, no crashes and no wheels damaged on the sidestone of the road (in Belgium lots od women do that ...) So I'm a lucky one with her...

I think the noveltys worn off mine, as car has been lent a few times to brother in law (without either of us). Im pretty easy going about it now - they crash it they pay. Actually enjoying our new defender at moment. Think i want a STI 8.
I let my other half drive my 02 WRX turbo whenever he wants - he probably pushes it a lot harder than I do! - I don't mind him driving when I'm not in it, but I hate being driven in it by him - find myself constantly 'careful, it's my car' etc when he's driving it a lot slower than I would!
Mrs owned 4 scoobs, over 6 years. however does not get to drive it as i always nicking it off her... Mrs just ordered a new motor,, and b@gger me she will not tell me what it is.. Keeping scoob as well though! steve
Nope, not yet. but she does keep asking about getting her hands on the keys.. Apparently, she's going to find my week spot
I don't think I have on as far as the scoob is concerned
Although, if its give in or be single again....

Very rarely...
She has driven it 2/3 times on her own in 9 months (no funny comment)
I'm aware of girls who lose it by accident whilst driving a high powered car, I especially remember the thread about the girl in the cossie saphire who lost it v.badly. Not saying women are bad drivers, but unless they use a powerful car very regularly accidents can and do happen !
And of course how different is it to drive a scoob than run of the mill regular motors - v. different I think. How many scoob drivers get in another car to drive and once off think theres something wrong with the car due to feel, handling, power (or lack of it).
I s'pose I'm saying all the time or not at all seems wisdom ???

wifey can drive our MY99 whenever she wants - we both pay for it....
However, due to her working shifts, it's inconvenient to keep changing the car seat out
I do the kid run to the childminder before I go to work
mind you, she's 5 months pregnant at the moment. Our other car is a H reg "dagenham dustbin". CLoser to the time, she can drive it all she wants - I'd prefer her to be safe
Dan
she's also very good at cornering!!!!!

My girlfirend and I drive each other's Scoobs, but I think she prefers mine (STi7). She is pretty good behind the wheel, although she did get caught doing 87 mph in a 60 zone! When I am a passenger it can be a bit worrying at times, especially on the corners!

my girlfriend drives mine my 01 wrx with decat etc etc etc, & she only passed her test 3months ago & can barely drive her d reg nissan micra,
it is only a car much as i like it whats the worst that can happen, & if that did happen i would rather she had a mishap with airbags & abs rather than the tin can she drives. her sister who rides a scooter wants a go on my R1, there i draw the line!

I let my misses drive my MY01 WRX Wagon, and she used to drive the P1 before it.
My only concern about her driving it is not that she will crash it but that some lowlife pong scum will car jack her.

My other half drives our MY02 WRX wagon occasionally, but doesn't like the security stuff. Which is ironic, seeing that it was she that insisted on it in the first place.....
My missus has driven it twice in 15 months, has own car and I drive Combo 1.7 TDi 16v van during the week. Scooby sits on the drive all week, poor Scooby!I wish she would drive it but she says it is too fast and worried about scratching it as I would probably have to kill her if she did!
My girlfriend drives my P1 - it scares me.
I've tried fitting one of those Fisher Price steering wheels to the passenger side airbag cover, but the little horn does my head in.
I just put my hands over my eyes.

Let the better half drive the Legacy whenever it's raining - she drives a 325 cab and guess who gets to clean the b'stard 20-spoke alloys when they're dirty....
(mind you, I'll never forget the grin on her face the first time she floored it!
