Alright,
I have not long had my standard scoob, its a MY00, and I have started to notice a faint clunking noise coming from the near side rear. It only seems to happen on rougher than normal surfaces. I don't hear it on normal roads. Has anyone else experienced it? Any help would be appreciated.

P.S I tried emptying my boot incase something was rattling about.

Cheers

Jake

Nothing instanly springs to mind. Could be any number of things really. Have the wheel off and have a good look, sometimes stones get caught behind the disk, it might be something that simple.
Cheers.
Ian.

Question

I've had this on my MY00 saloon for ages, and still can't work out what it is. Had the dealer check the suspension and all was well...wasn't sure whether it could be the exhaust mounting, although doesnt appear to be.

I'd be grateful if someone could throw a bit of light onto this as well !!

I get the same. The jack works itself loose, and I never seem to be able to get it seated properly. Try taking the jack out of your boot, and drive down a rough surface. If there's no clunk...problem solved.

bushes more than likely. if so it'll clunk when you come off a kerb gently or a drive or something. and if you come off at an angle itll clunk once as each side comes down.
