Does anyone know how the weight of the MY03 WRX?

It seem to be the only thing missing from the press release which was posted earlyer on today.

 

Since there's been no mention of the weight in any of the reviews etc, I think it's safe to assume that they will be pretty much the same as the '02.

I've seen a figure for the 4dr WRX of 1415kg without driver in German literature....

 

Although I speak about as much Japanese as, well, someone who doesn't speak any I took a look on the Subaru Japan web-site. If I'm reading it right http://www.subaru.co.jp/impreza/sedan/09/09_02.html then the Japanese '03 WRX looks to be 1360kg against 1385kg for the UK bug-eye and the Japanese '03 STi down to 1440kg against 1470kg for the STi Type UK.

Of course they could put on weight between the land of the rising sun and old blighty, so anyone got any definative figures?

*edit* Just to add - if the STi Spec C makes it over here, it's the Kate Moss of the new Scooby world at only 1350kg

Sounds a bit lardy to me my MY00 RA is 1240kgs on the SVA docs .

 

The MY02 is 1365 kg
So the MY03 has put on 20 kg.

It seems like the next thing on the agenda is to put the Scooby on diet

 

lol, the 03 weight is........1395kg'g (5 more than the 02), thats in Aus spec anyways.
From what i understood your 01 was heavier than our Aus spec 01.

Ok, so we can categorically state that the MY03 weighs a definate 1400kgs, give or take 40kgs

The 1385kg figure I quoted for the 4 door WRX is according to Subaru UK's 2002MY Specifications, but if you're right the MY03 WRX has still lost a whole 5kg, assuming that it weighs in at 1360kg like it's Japanese equivalent
