There are loads of us who had planned of spending £75 to have a giggle in Northamptonshire this weekend.

So hows about this then?

Lets all meet up on Saturday and go watch the CART race at Rockingham instead. Imagine us lot in the grandstands having a right laugh watching the fastest race cars on earth. Mass of scoobies in the car park!

whaddauthink????

Hmm, the race is Saturday isnt it!

Sounds like a good idea, but theres a big meet in Epsom Saturday evening, so may not be ideal for some people !

Certainly sounds like a plan though for people interested in it !

Well I am going anyway, I just hope the weather is OK.

John, do you know a guy from London ( Red MR2 G ltd)fellow ringer, has a season ticket thingy. Origionally from Yorkshire and now living in Brentford.

Met him at the Stock cars on Saturday, and fancy going to the ring with him next time. He said he knew of you?

Thanks

Doesnt ring any bells to be honest. But thats cos i am seriously CRAP at remembering people when i am out in the Westie.

The number of times people come say hi and dont actually say who they are is unreal. It's pretty obvious who i am because if the car.

If you do bump into me, let me know your name because i am seriously crap at that stuff. I also switch off totally when i drive because you have to concentrate. For some reason names are the first things that pop out of my mind?

It's embarasing to give someone a blast and then say afterwards, who are you again? LOL I can think of another situation where that would be equaly embarasing but i wont go there.

The Race is SATURDAY and not sunday which is when the RallyX was.

I'd love to make that meet, but sadly that weekend I'll be gently circulating the Nurburgring

Richard,
The Nurburgring? I suppose its a tough job, but someones got to do it.

Has anyone told you lately, you are one lucky devil.

Its ironic actually, that my original date for the run was going to be the 23rd Sept, but I changed it so my pal from work, and his brother could attend.

Cheers MTR

LOL @ Richard

John - we're in the north stand by turn 4, don't know exact seat number yet tho'.

Richard - we'll be in the Daventry area all weekend, any chance of meeting up for a few beers before you disappear off to the ring?

I'm doing the Treasure Hunt from me local on that morning. I mean I have done the clues and stuff. So I can't enter.

10:30 to 11:30 am start from the Three Crowns, Huddersfield Road (main A62) Scouthead, on the edge of Oldham heading out to Huddersfield.

It's five quid a car.

I'm doing something similar on Saturday. As the Rallyx was canned, I have purchased tickets for an all night Rave In Stratford. MC Shabba D's 10th year Drum & Bass Blaster.
Top DJ's playing including the ledgendary Nicky Blackmarket. Only 12 squid a ticket too.
Can't wait!!!!

Llandow is cancelled now (see Track Day forum for Stef's post).

Other suggestions for Sunday?

Is there a thread on the Epsom meet Ian? Had a sniff through Southern but can't see anything.

Worcester lot are travelling up to Kinver for a Sunday lunch meet if anyone wants an easy out. See Midlands Forum.

If anybody is really brave and handy with weapons of mass destruction, you can come round my house and take out about 25 trees from my backgarden

Cheers
