ASP/PHP ? You choose ....
OK, I'm in the process of re-writing my own web site, and the plan is as follows :-
1. Construct a mySQL database, containing all the text/images/layouts/raw data etc etc for the website.
2. Write my own code to dynamically generate the HTML pages for the web site, by reading the database.
Now, the question is, should I use ASP or PHP ? My own programming background is in C/C++, so PHP is only one small step away from this. ASP, on the other hand, will integrate into my developement tools better (Visual Studio), plugs into Access easier, and may allow for faster development.
Comments ?

I'm only using Access as a frontend to the mySQL database. I import the table into Access, play around with it, and re-export it back out to mySQL.
It's looking more and more like PHP, guys - no one want to stand up for ASP ?

..which I've just realised is completely irrelevant in this case!
My own personal site is PHP and runs on Linux so I'd go for this.
Also bear in mind that PHP runs fine on Windows, whereas ASP on Linux isn't quite so simple!

If I thought I could make a career out of web programming, I'd probably take up learning both. As it is, I remember the days of programming in Z80, on a Sinclair Spectrum....

I actually prefer to code in VBScript ASP (don't shoot!).
Probably because I'm not really a programmer - I started with design then moved onto html then the backend code, rather than the usual route into web development.
