Pretty bad I'm afraid Brun. Have had it looked at & to be honest, I wouldn't want to drive on it again, even if it could be repaired

As you can see, it has a pretty bad crack in it...... ouch!

I hit a big log / branch, which lay in wait for me the other night

Unfortunately, there's no way that's repairable, the split wouldn't be a problem, but you'll never get it true again after the welding

It's a long shot, but try Grade A Subaru breakers in Hayfield, they have an e-mail address, so if you give them a ring on 01663 744114, you may be able mail them the above photos.

Yep, been to Donalds at Peterborough. Had it checked. Needs a 4 wheel alignment doing and a geometry check. It was a hefty bang and now the off side wheel is 7mm closer to its wheel arch than the near side wheel is to its wheel arch :-( Could have been much worse though ...

It looks awful, but what the hey, at least you're OK, and the Scoob didn't go out of control, and wasn't written off--and by the looks of that, it could have.

Cool

Tony, you don't need that big a bang with a subaru, as my missus found out with mine, apparently the daft offset leaves the inside of the rim very vulnerable to potholes, and the extra leverage this provides on the 7" wide rim makes it easier for a small impact to cause more damage to the arms etc.
