Took the GF to a subaru dealer today to try and convince her that we NEED an Impreza. The guy there took her out in an £18995! RB5 (she asked what RB stood for
)...and praise the lord she now wants one.
As I am not spending that sort of cash on a 2nd hand car, can anyone recommend a euro import dealer. I know some of you have got them and are happy.
Thanks in advance.

i was only talking to TedEd last night about this.
TedEd bought one from Holland 2years ago, get in touch with him, i have his phone number if your interested!
he payed about £16k for a BRAND New MY00 Impreza Turbo UK Spec
Think TSL are bringing MY01's over now also, have a word with Trouser or Graham at TSL.

I bought a MY00 from Gertjan as well - total cost including alarm, ferry, VAT, etc. and a weekend in Amsterdam £15500
Gertjan is a top bloke to deal with. I'd probably look at Litchfield Imports for my next one since I doubt you could improve on their price by doing the import yourself.
Cheers,
Ian.

2nd hand EU imports are an interesting case.
Some 1 year old ones have sold for £16k and some for £14k ish. So I guess the answer is it depends on when you sell and who you sell to. I think as a guide as long as the 2nd had car is cheaper than a new one it should sell.
When the car gets to 3 y/o I would imagine that prices of EU and UK cars would be pretty similar as the warranty is no longer relevant.
I haven't heard any news about anyone who has bought a car here;

Hi, I am the girlfriend Davyboy talks about. Nice of him to infer that I am stupid in front of you all, but I have the money in my pocket - well nearly, to purchase a shiny new car. It took some convincing, but I am going to buy a Scooby.
Unfortunately, I am very excited about the prospect of driving this car and do not feel I can wait until next year to take delivery of one. Is there a dealer out there that has UK spec imports for immediate delivery at a sensible price? Please email me or post addresses here.
Thanks
Clare xx

Gibson's of Brock did the business for me too
Very happy. I only had to wait 6 weeks.
The last time I checked Well Lane Turbo Centre in Batley had some in stock. If you haggle and stick to your guns £17,500 should do it.
Good luck!!

Sorry I missed those off. Contact @ Gibson's is David Gibson. Top bloke and bull5hit-free, which is nice

Gibson's cars are from Belgium, and Well Lane's are from Holland.
If you fancy a bit a DIY and can wait to save even more money, get in touch with Nick Lines chiark@hotmail.com
(Ian - Cheers M8, you beat me to it

Got mine from Keyring last year.
about 17K all in , including air con and alarm.
Only trouble is it keeps wanting to go on the right hand side of the road when there are slower cars in front. Must be because it's from Europe.
:^)
[Edit to try and sort the link out but *HTML is OFF. Now how do I switch it on ?]

As a former customer of Keyring Cars I must say that they were great, help you right through the process and were by far the cheapest
Brilliant service, I paid just over £16500 for a MY00 that would have cost me £23000+ in the UK

It is of course a lye and illegal, if the car is sourced from an EU dealer they have a legal obligation to service the vehicle etc.
