I'm currently grinning like a fool!

I have just paid the deposit for my nice new MY03 (Metallic Green). I have ordered it from Litchfield Imports, saving about 5000 quid on the MY02 UK/Euro price, although the price of the MY03 may go up a bit!

So my question is, what is going to feel longer, the 5 months until I pick it up (with no car at all) or the 1000+ miles I need to do until I can use the turbo?

Havin only bought a second hand Scooby before I didn't have to face either challenges!

The 5 months.

I had to wait 6 weeks for my STI-7 and only had a Yaris to drive around in. That 6 weeks took forever, I ended up reading and buying every magazine with a picture of an STI-7 in it just to cater for the wait.

The 1000 miles did drag, but if you do it in a week it's not so bad.

Cool

Make the delivery around a weekend off work then plan a tour to Scotland picking car up on Friday, thus putting 1,000 miles on car. On getting keys to car, visit service dept and book car in for 1st service on Monday then carryout your tour of Scotland, return home, service car then SMILE

Now thats a good sounding idea IMHO

I'd love an STI-7. Hopefully when I pick up mine, Iain will let me loose in his STI demonstration car ... however I may regret getting the slow WRX then!

I think a tour around the south coast on the way back may increase the mileage!

Only about 3600 hours to go (roughly!) ....
