Unhappy

On A MY00 the 60K service is a biggy, it is essentially a 30k (x2), plus a cambelt change, (intervals for cambelt were changed from 99MY at 45K to 00MY at 60K). Don't expect much change from £600 !!!
Sorry, misread, you're car being a 99MY, probably around £350-£450 for 60K

Just spent £400 on a new clutch. £190 for a 75k service next week.
New disks and pads just bought at £380, still to be fitted.

All in one month.

Kinda used to it now though. My first service (30k) cost me £1200 cos I needed new disks, pads and a couple of tyres!

Still paying for Subaru servicing at the moment as I have an extended warrantee. (Thought it was a good idea at the time!)

[edited to say Sipie - that website doesn't exist! (er, I was only curious)]

Question

Are dealer service prices set by IM/Subaru UK or can a dealer charge what they like ?

I'd like to see a service charge list if there is such a thing - comin up to my 60K service (first since I've had the car) and have absolutely no idea how much I'm gonna be stung for ?

Anyone ?

Prices are set by the dealer. If you want to use official dealer servicing, get the list of dealers in your area off the Subaru UK web site and ring them up for prices. I think the 60K should be somewhere around £100 IIRC.

Cool

Phone either Alyn Stockton (0191-410-3770)or John Pye(01388 661107) Both are Subaru rally experts who do a lot of servicing, are relatively close to you but check availability. Obviously get a guide price. I know John Pye has done work for the local Subaru agents in the past (S.G. Petch)

Cheers Harvey - I knew of John Pye from my days in Durham Auto Club. It's a MY99 UK car so want a Subaru dealer really tho.

£100 sounds remarkably civil. I'll phone around.

Cheers.

£100 for a 60k service......don't think so somehow!

That'll just about cover the oil change and that's all.

WTF ?! Been ringin round my local dealers:-

C D Bramall (where I bought the car) - £625 !!!!!! (they double checked and confirmed this is definitely correct) !!!!!!!!!

Dennis Common £340
Gilesgate £380

The two latter do Subaru courtesy cars, whereas Bramalls just do Diahustu's.

WTF ?!?!?!?!

JB

About 40 quid for a 1000 mile service. If it's a UK car, you only pay for the materials, not the labour.
