Was driving the P1 into Manchester city centre, there's a guy in an Audi at the lights on the other side of the road, flashing his lights like no tomorrow. I drive past and look at him, he's got his head out of the window giving the the '******' hand sign? What's all that about ? I think it may have been an S3

He probably wasn't looking at you Ash. He was just checking out what he looked like in the reflection of the shop windows opposite.
No doubt he was pleased with what he saw...

What did you do?
And why was it road rage?
I take it he was stopped at the lights,if you would have got out of your car and knocked him out I would consider that to be road rage.
Otherwise just childish banter.

I wouldn't call that road rage, he might just have been signalling 'cos he thought he knew you. Or maybe he mistook you for the guy that humped his missus. This is what I would call road rage. When someone tries deliberately to force you off the road for no reason, he ought to be locked up for the publics protection.

I've had this before, asked my wife what she thought of it as we drove on and couldn't quite fathom it until we drove through a mobile speed trap. Fortunately I was so confused by the other driver I had slowed down plenty

Fail to see how it can be road jelousy given that he could sell the S3 tomorrow and buy a P1 with the money!
Maybe you did something to pi55 him off in the past and he recognised your car.

Hmmm, plain boring looking Audi against my classic looking P1 ? I mean I park the P1 at work and give it a second look half way down the car park - still looks the bizz and distinct after 9 months of ownership. If you want to blend in then get an Audi ... Saxoboy - get real dude.

Ash1 - I agree, he has car envy !, The P1 is a far more involving car than the S3 (which as quoted in CAR "a TT in sensible clothes - but then who wants to be sensible ?").
Saxo Boy - Maybe he could by a P1 and have change, just goes to show how over priced the S3 is !.
