Hi guys,

I am not sure if I tapped into the correct line off the manifold and I am getting a very slow responding boost needle movement.

When I am idling it reads 500mmhg's. When I blip the throttle (at a standstill) it slowly rises to about 200mmhg's and then falls back down. When I am driving and go to WOT throttle it slowly creeps up but when I release the peddle it still slightly rises then falls like it is trying to catch up. I know on my last car I had an aftermarket boost guage and it repsonded instantly.

I have a GReedy mechanical boost guage.

My car is a JDM STi-7 with full SS turbo back decat.

I "T" in on the left side of the manifold (if facing the car) there was a little tube (about 3" long) that came out from the manifold and attached to an little oval thing that had a thick tube coming out the back. No idea what it is, but I "T" into the tube between the manifold and this little oval metal thing

Any ideas ?

The Subaru guage is recommended to be "T" in on a pipe that comes out of the I/C ?

Is this affective ?

Check the routing of the boost gauge hose.
Could have a kink in it somewhere along the line.

I got it all sorted now. I switched the "T" in from the place I had it before to the place as show on the url above. Works like a charm now.

When my car is idling I am getting -500 mmhg, is this normal ?

Worth thinking about what happens if the hose pops off on the line into the fuel pressure regulator.... probably less fuel pressure, lean running, bang?

I was recommended not to use that hose to prevent that situation, unless as a last resort using superglue to ensure no possibility of the hose detaching.

Why Subaru recommend that hose, I don't know...
