Searched the archives for this topic, could not find anything so I hope its not bringing up the dead...

Anyway...

Several Cars in AUS, have had Piston #2 Failures...
These cars were running higher than std Boost, and leaner fuel ratios. (aftermarket ECU's)

Wanting to know more about this phenomenon.

I have heard that, this usually happens due to:

1. Standard Exhaust manifolds have uneven flow.
2. Fuel line that feeds injector to Piston #2 has a crushed bend.

Are these true?
Any remedies?

parallel feed to injectors rather than serial. so that no injector is more than one injector away from the source.

I believe the standatrd fuel rail design is a bit lame, depending on year of car.

Custom fuel rails can remedy this problem quite easily.

Yes parallel fuel feed, plus dual feed into the fuel rails.

second meduim to high mods.
