Very interesting program.

How the hell those two loonies (with their L100NY number plate) managed to live after flipping their White Ferrari convertible is amazing..

(also amazing was how quick the emergency services arrived !)

Lots of irresponsible driving (some fun, some dangerous)

Damon Hill wussed out at Calais !

Ferraris + Lambo's sounded lovely as ever though.

You beat me to it. How did they survive that crash

Good programme though. Some people have too much money . I did like the 007 number plate

The program started well, and went down hill from there on in, I'm sure it could have been more about the cars, and not about ruby getting on planes and choppers.

Very, very nice cars. The white Ferrari and other crashes really did dampen the whole program for me, I like wheelspin and tyre smoke as much as the next man, even some of the crazy driving looked like a laugh but the accident made all the fun seem pointless.

They could easily have been killed.

Would have preferred to have seen more cars and less Ruby also. And less of that old crap limo.

Haha! Not quite. Today I'll mostly be eating crispy bacon. I work the other side of the bridge (but on the same side of the river) to the Tower.

Cracking show. Glad Ruby was there to deflate some of the over inflated egos that were being paraded about.

Who was the drunken old guy who wanted to lamp Vic Reeves ? First time I've seen Vic looking sooo serious (and scared) !!!

I enjoyed this programme but Damon Hill made me feel VERY uncomfortable. On the evidence of the film I hope that the prat gets the book thrown at him but he probably won't because of who he is Just make sure that the plods don't spot you eating a Mars bar because you'll certainly get into bother for it. I'm no saint in a car but that really was the pits.

I'm not apologising for my post, and I'm CERTAINLY not jealous (been there, done that with my previous employers).

what I object to the most is when these t0ssers get involved with other normal motorists. I'm sure NOBODY on this bbs would be saying "yeh, a bloke crashed into me, wrote my car off, but hey, it's ok coz it was a Ferrari!"

Probably not very concise, but can anybody see what I'm trying to say?

Guys it was a programme that does not affect our lives, yes it was about real people doing real things and yes some of it was pompas bullsh1t buts that's life and if you did not like it turn it off. I personally enjoyed it all apart from the crash and will watch it again when it's on BBC Choice tonight or tomorrow.

Chill out guys lets face it if you can sit there and honestly say I have never done anything mad in a car in my life that has put me in danger then your a liar.

Politics for me then.

Darren.

I guess what ScoobyDoo555 is trying to say is that for some toff to write off his £100,000 car is a mere inconvenience to him.

Whereas the Peugeot 406 coming the other way with kids on board (perhaps) that gets written off - ridding them of their only means of transport and putting lives at risk is downright stupid.

The "man in the street" isn't in the Gumball, yet runs the risk of being involved in a high speed collision because of it.

***** Darren, putting themselves in danger is actually the only worthwhile thing these goons have done, shame they didn;t manage to cull one another. This is about racing on public roads and putting other people in danger. For all I care they can play demolition derby without seatbelts if they do it on a closed circuit, but only **** race on the road.

How anyone can have sat through that appalling rubbish and not despise everyone involved in it is beyond me.

Didn't see the programme as I was out, but I don't like the sound of the Gumball rally.

From what I've seen and heard in the past, it is a bunch of people with more money than sense, showing off. Fair enough, I don't mind a bit of showing off, but going through some of the poorest countries in Europe in £200K cars takes the p***.

Don't think that is at all right.

Cheers,
Tom

Damon Hill started the bad example with driving whilst on the phone - and in a Diablo no less! Moments after being told off by a Policewoman for using the phone whilst driving he drove whilst using a freaking camcorder - even having to change gear with his right hand! He then caned the Diablo over Tower Bridge. I work right next to the bridge and know that it's not a bridge to speed over - there are normally loads of pedestrians, many of whom are tourists unused to cars driving on the left. Damon, you should know better.

Then we are treated to the white Ferrari being driving by a complete ar5ehole. Some of his overtaking/undertaking was suicidal. He then rolls the car and nearly kills himself and passenger. He has 80 driving convictions - no surprises there then!

A reasonable program marred by some rich w**kers with no regard for life and limb - their own or of others.

Having said all that, the sound of the Ferraris at full chat was wonderful.

Ranting so much I nearly forgot the red Scoob I saw in the background in one shot. Anyone know who's it is?

Yep - the cars were stunning, obviously far too much money. Great fun. Even the white Ferrari's crash was spectacular. NO FLAMES please - my reason was because by the looks of it, no 'normal' road users were involved. Bit harsh, but so what if he'd have killed himself - you drive like a w*nker, accept the consequences.

As for 'the richest/fatest man in Europe' - this REALLY spoiled the programme for me. His crash summed up the irresponsiblity of the entire thing. Notice that he crahsed into a 406 estate (normal persons car). Tw*t!

A lot of bad points and some good bits, but overall much more interesting than the usual pants on TV.
The Ferrari brigade sounded AWESOME!

Thought it was crap . Complete Wainkers coked out of their heads ,probably at some stage driving whilst still drunk from the night before. That ***** in the white ferrari
when he over took that coach........

These people live their entire lives on the edge and do not give a toss about others.

And as for the "ALPHA SECURITY" team. Give me a break !!!!!

Do you really think a Ferrari sounds great??? Sounds like the engine is going to fall to bits !!!

Based on the video evidence will the Police Take action against Damon Hill. WILL THEY HELL..... Same as that skinny coke head TPT When she caused mayhem Driving on a TV show!!

Hi

I enjoyed it, some LUNATIC driving (in every sense of the word, or should that be MAD..!) and some fantastic cars being driven as they should be.. .

I've been following the Gumball for a couple of years now after my mate won it in 1999 in a Rocket.

The funniest bit for me was when Ruby $hit herself when the guy driving the red Ferrari started doing dohnuts..... ...

They all have far to much cash...!

Well I thought it was great. All you whingers are just jealous that you weren't doing it! I'd love to be able to do that kind of thing, in fact, next year I just might, provided I can come up with the entry fee.

Anyone care to join me?

Is this the "Moral Philosophers" board or something???

200k car, party atmosphere, TV cameras, celebs, who on this board WOULDN'T be driving like a loon?

EVERY Scooby meet/cruise etc i've been on deteriorates into a wild country lane thrash and yet the same people sit on here taking the high horse about dangerous driving!!!

Admit it, theres no Saints that ever drove a Subaru - if you want safety, boring driving and no passion or exciteiment in your life, marry an ugly bird and buy a BMW

Its the hyposcrisy that winds me up!

Good luck to them, i hope they enjoyed themselves.

Kim Schmitz wasn't driving the backup car that got crashed at the end.
He certainly has a lot of money, but is one smart cookie.
