Already discussed this. Ron seems to prefer a Tuscan. Ferraris seem to be common as muck on the Gumball, so I kinda agree with him.

It may come as a shock to many people (it did to me ) that TVR reliability is actually improving (cynics amongst you would probably argue it couldn't get any worse). Apparantly the new Cerbera and Tuscan are actually pretty good and I agree with John - the new Tuscan looks the dogs bs - best looking car on the road at the moment I think (apart from my Scooby - of course which goes without saying )

Cem,

How the hell can you ask what exactly did Damon Hill do wrong??? I suppose that driving with a video camera in your left hand while changing gear with your right (in a RHD car) and looking into the viewer on the camera all at the same time while the car was travelling forward on the public road must be standard practice to you This after being given a telling off for using a mobile phone while driving, too. The fact that he is a former World Champion F1 driver has SOD ALL to do with it and I can't believe that you said that!! Does that mean that Damon bloody Hill can now do whatever he likes on the roads? He was being a stupid, childish, tosser and showing off for the camera. All that was missing was Murray Walker to say how wonderful he is.

Raymond.

Raymond,
You are being ****. You obviously have something quite serious against Damon Hill, so whatever I say will have no worth whatsover.

OK. Lets get this in perspective...
Damon was using the video camera in stop start traffic, granted, he changed gear with the wrong hand, but he was looking where he was going, and could only be doing 30mph.

He dicked about over the bridge, but as can be seen on the video, it was alongside a section of road with a barrier on the pavement (i.e. no pedestrians).

Basically what I am saying is; give me Damon in a diablo over 80% the people I see on the roads outside my house any day of the year. Even if he is driving one handed.

KF.

There appear to be one or two people that dont like the event then!! Shame that.

I thought the program better than I had hoped for and left me grinning for hours. It also left me on the phone until 1 in the morning sorting out a potentially suitable car for next year.

The web site mentioned earlier appeared to show the '99 event, not 2000. It is possible I am thick and missed it.

How did people find out it is the US next year and you are only allowed 2 in a car? This kind of knackers our plan for 4 people in an S600 limo or Turbo R!!

This is a serious question as providing it is in Europe we are definitely doing it. Still may go for the US though.

To all those who have openly chastised the event and particularly the driver of the white 355, I assume anyone that is unfortunate to lob a 4wd Impreza off the road is not driving dangerously then!!

If you are speeding and you crash, you were breaking the law and therefore driving irresponsibly etc etc..... It does not matter if 10mph or 80mph over, you were still breaking the law. We all do stupid things every so often and we unfortunately do more abroad where the penalties are not as harsh on the UK licence. Just because it is televised, the 355 driver is an idiot?

I would guess that the majority of this bbs have a passion for performance cars and a little performance excess, so does this mean the moaners are those that purchased a performance car off the back of J D Power's survey, have subsequently moaned about plastic trim and economy ( it is a car you drive, not stroke the dashboard!! ) and will soon be ordering Toyota's Yaris thingy 'cause JD says it is OK to do so.

Is it acceptable to drive dangerously risking other people's safety on the roads?

Did the people on the Gumball show do this?

If so, why are people trying to defend it?

Breaking the law by driving fast but safely is different to driving unsafely at whatever speed.
