So there I was sitting there eating my breakfast on Saturday morning when, as if by magic, the Wax Wizard appeared (aka Mark Underwood and his son). For my birthday Sal and family (thanks )had arranged for the Scoob to be given the full WW treatment.

What can I say? The result was outstanding. Mark worked on the car all day (didn't even break for lunch). I have to say that the pictures below don't really do it justice, but take my word for it, his attention to detail has to be seen to be believed.

For those of you who are interested, Mark used his new teflon based wax and cleanser and the results are amazing. Even after the heavy rain showers today, the car just wipes clean to a deep shine.

Before you ask, no I'm not being paid by Mark to write this ( ) - the results really are that good. The car really does look better than the day it left the showroom.

Many thanks to Sal & her family for the pressie and to Mark and his son for their efforts.

Chris

I too can vouch for the superb WW finish. Chris I'd ask for your money back. It's rubbed all the writing of your number plate m8

Great stuff there Chris. Did Mark do the engine bay too?

Mark are you thinking of coming to Greece for a holiday? I'd love to get my 2 cars done by you. We don't have these types of services here. Had them in OZ, but not here.

WREXY.

I know you probably didn't ask, 'cos it was a birthday gift, but how much did it cost for Mark to spend the day there?

WREXY - Mark did the lot. The engine bay looks amazing. He used his own degreasing solution, which by the smell of it was made largely from orange and lemon (I'm not kidding) - it starts to disolve the grease and dirt on contact. Leave it for a little while then use a hose to wash it off.

Robman - the cost varies depending on exactly what you want, if you're an existing customer, whether you're on Scoobynet etc. Best to give Mark a call for a quote. Bear in mind that Mark does spend literally all day cleaning your car, plus you get the benefit of chatting to him and learning a few of his secrets.

Cheers

Chris

Anyone got a contact number for Wax Wizard, the freephone number on the Website is wrong and the other number just rings.

I want some wax etc.. as I've got a wedding this coming weekend and I want the Scoob to outshine the Rolls Wedding Car.

Question

Looks lovely Chris.

Question - is it recommended to wash out the engine bay?

I've always been cautious out cleaning it out in case something goes wrong.

ChrisB.

Chris - have a chat with Mark Underwood. The stuff the engine is coated is Cosmoline (not sure of the spelling) - in fact the entire car is coated in the stuff when they leave Japan to protect them from sea water. At the docks, the cosmoline is blasted off and the stuff in the engine is left on - doesn't seem to do much other than attract the dust and dirt. After all the engine is alloy, so what's going to rust???

Aluminium doesnt rust but it does corrode ! you could end up with a white powdery substance under the bonnet, its worthless BTW LOL
