Just thought id say hi to you all.

I have just bought my first scooby after having a sapphire cosworth for the last 2 years.It is a 97 uk 2000 and im really pleased with it.The cars standard apart from a sebring exhaust.I had it on the 1/4 mile on sunday and got a 13.7,is that a good time for one of these cars??

 

It's probably cos you had a Cossie that nobody's welcoming you to the board....!

13.7 is very good for a Scooby. What time were you getting in the cossie?

I got around the same times as the scoooby.Cant think of the best time off the top of my head,ill dig out the slips and have a look later.I thought it was a good time for a standard car.Hoping to have a few more bits added for the next time i go on the strip,so should see slightly better times.

I question your time? I had a huge argument a month or so back with some lads that swore blind that to get sub 14 seconds in a scooby it has to be quite heavily modded. I was of the opinion that some brutality would do it but I haven't tried as I don't have a standard scooby. Even still 13.7 for a standard car seems very good, did you really murder the poor thing off the line?

Now then mate, although i went the Scooby route, i love Cossies, whatever shape they come in.

Absolutely awesome, went in for it's 1st service today, the dealer checked everything out changed the oil and told me to go have some fun.

I did!!!!!

Yes Korky it was the red scoob.My first run i had the worst possible start against the gtir and got a 14.2.Then i went up against an american car and beat that and got a 13.8,then on my last run i got the 13.7 against an mg 160.
