Question Advice on selling my STi Type UK

Hi all,

I could really do with some advice.

I'm looking to sell my 2002 STi Type UK, but I have no idea about its value or on the best way to sell it. I was thinking about going the auction route, but am not convinced that is the best approach.

I've owned it for more than twenty years, so haven't got recent experience of selling second hand. Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated!

I don't particularly want to sell it, but I live in London and everything is going the way of low-emissions these days.

42,000 miles.

I'm still preparing it for the sale right now. I want to get the wheels refurbished as I've curbed them over the years. It's been parked on the street for ten years, so I think it needs to be tidied up a bit before I sell it.

Thanks for the advice on using Auto trader!

Do people still use Auto Trader - private sellers I mean. Have tended to avoid AT for PH or Ebay.

I'm selling my Hawk RA at the moment and I've not had one sniff - not even the usual low ballers.

I live in London too, yours is compliant isn't it?
2002 petrol is normally ok whatever it is.
Not gonna get a car that drives or sounds like yours anymore.
I sold my 05 WRX wagon about 8 years ago then bought it back for 600 more than I sold it for less than a year ago and I realise how different these cars now are compared to everything I've had in between.
I think a lot of private sellers go to eBay including me as it's cheaper than auto trader and get a much bigger audience.
Was 15 quid to advertise I think.
can't remember if they take a final fee when sold or not.
