Unless I've completely missed something the HEL braided hoses I've bought for my Forester XT have no way of securing them to the body. So, as you can see in the first video the amount of movement made me uncomfortable, I don't fancy a fatigued brake pipe!
My solution is shown on the second video. Printed from PETG with 100% infill (as close to solid as you can get on a printer). I used some old coolant crossover bolts (6mm shank m5 thread for some bizarre reason!) To fix them. Will see how it last with some miles and a UK winter...
Aye, that would have been the obvious fix, as I have those clips, but the hose ends are just smooth cylinders with no cut outs, flats or grooves. I couldn't get those clips to fit in any meaningful way.

Or do your hoses not have the groove machined into the block to take the clamp?
that!
I've heard by ML performance that HEL are having some manufacturing issues (supposedly). I then ordered direct from HEL and they last lost my order, and I needed to chase them directly. Maybe they've run out of the correct hose end.......

we generally use / supply Goodridge and they install exactly as per the OE lines so with the C-clips onto the body and then the front mid lined are bolted to the strut housing.........
Thanks all. This has been a comedy of errors and a real howler. The 056 kit not only doesn't have the groove for the clips, the flare type is different too, stock is convex (to you) flare when looking down the hose side connector and the 056 kit is concave. Why they would be different between brembo and non-brembo I have no idea. Anyway I've bitten the bullet and bought the 057 fronts and rears now. Just hope I didn't damage the pipe side flare....

the fittings are the same on either kit, you’ve been supplied the wrong fittings.
So, without any hesitation HEL are giving a refund without return. Which is fair play to them. My ordering the wrong thing, and then them sending completely the wrong thing has cancelled out for all parties involved
Even with these parts it was too wobbly for my liking... so I packed the clip out with 25mm OD x 1.4mm thickness stainless washer that I drilled out to 16mm ID. It gives the same level of support as stock.
