Default Bugeye Impreza Immobilizer Issue

Evening, I have an issue with my immobilizer in my GX Impreza. The fob hasn't worked for a while which hasn't been a major issue: I just use the keypad to enable the car before starting it. However, this evening I entered the code, but the alarm light kept flashing and wouldn't enable. Even with the car doors closed and locked the alarm light by the clock kept flashing.

Is this just a case of the immobilizer getting "confused"? Will disconnecting the battery for a period of time (how long?) reset it?

Any thoughts gratefully received.

You should replace you fob asap. Had the same problem the fob stopped working and I used the keypad.

Only issue was I damaged the key pad not long before as used the end of the key to press the buttons in.

Had to replace the pad. Any chance you've damaged it? Or if you have entered the code in wrongly a few times you will be locked out for abit.
