I got a GC8 RA Version 6 and it seems like my AC system cannot hold refrigerant and told by the mechanic the compressor is leaking. I have already checked the AC lines for leaks and change the AC hose O-rings. The condenser has been checked and isn't leaking so the only thing left is most likely the compressor.

Has anyone tried to fit a newage AC compressor on to a classic and have any insight on which ones work? It has been increasingly difficult to find GC8 parts now and the ones left are in rough shape that isn't worth the asking price, at least in my area.

Looking to see if maybe a Version 7 or Version 8 AC compressor fits. I mean, I'm pretty sure they'll bolt on but would the plugs work and the inlet/outlet work with the old lines?
