Default Key Pairing

Hi all recently purchased another Scooby, and it has come with x2 keys. One of them works and is occasionally a bit temperamental? The spare does not. I have checked batteries and they are fine. Now I do not have the 4 digit code for the sigma system but I do have instructions to reset the code. But my question is once reset do I need to re-pair the keys?

Just changing the PIN does not effect the pairing of the keys to the alarm, although you say one does not work so they (the two keys) probably need pairing anyway.
The temperamental key could be the button switch failing - look for signs of leakage (it can be replaced).

One button keys have the Sigma alarm pcb installed allowing the alarm to control the keyless entry system. (this replaces the stand alone alarm fobs)
Two button keys have Subaru's OEM pcb in them which links to the keyless entry system.
The two button keys are converted to one button on vehicles arrival in the UK.

Ok, so can you confirm this is the correct reset procedure? I've pm'd you as I didn't want to broadcast it.
