Default Hmmmm, auto locking doors.

I want to code this into the system...

The problem. Iv looked through all the paperwork and cant find the code for the keypad.

Is there anyway i can find or reset this code and how to do i add the auto locking doors, do they kick in after a certain speed or on start up?

cheers.

Kev

Try scoobypedia if it's an M30 alarm the linked document gives a lot of detail. As far as I'm aware the autolock kicks in on starting the engine.

Decent document that, cheers for that.

Any ideas how to reset the code without knowing the current code though? I would assume it would be a subaru job?

IF you have a working keyfob:

Arm and then Disarm the system using a working Radio Key.

Within 30 seconds of disarming, type into the keypad: *17856*92*wxyz*wxyz# (where wxyz is your new PIN code)

Arm the system with the Radio Key

You should now be able to disarm the system using the new PIN code.

Well isnt it amazing what you can find on the interweb :-)

So thats the code changed, auto locking doors armed and the jewel of the crown the beep has been activated when you lock and unlock the car as an added extra for the neightbours... well they may as well enjoy my early starts just as much as me :-)

Glad you got it sorted. You can change the volume of the arm disarm beep if you want... * key toggles it between loud & soft.

My last car had a very loud arm disarm beep which was part of the factory fit alarm, this was set on import as a UK country setting and the dealer was not able programme it out even after consultation with the manufacturer (Alfa) and as I understand it this feature is still present on models such as the Mito. There are also other EU manufactured marques that also appear have these beeps enabled for the UK. However this may be model year related which could explain why there is a supposed EU law with EU manufacturers ignoring it?

That said I have my MY11 with the arm disarm beeps active, but I use the soft setting which is loud enough for me to hear when next to the car without disturbing others.

It just requires some common sense which when coupled with EU law becomes an oxymoron

The autolock function is described as "Safety Lock" in the Owners Operating manual attached below
Found in Section 5. "Changing the way the Security System operates using the Multi-Function Keypad"
Read the full description on the next page.

thanks Don. The feature Im trying to remove is the auto rearm where the car locks doors etc after 30 seconds. Managed to lock myself out of the car a couple of times as it does it even with keys in ignition. the manual you have posted up says it needs to be a subaru dealer but Poole Subaru have no idea.
