So I posted a thread while back, about steering feeling light, and generally not feeling right. And ideas on improving it.
Most people advised camber adjustment. Anyway noticed I was getting uneven wear on one front tire. So took it in for 4 wheel alignment and 4 new tyres.
Here are results, tracking was out. Now even though it handles better, still don't think I'd anywhere near as good as it should be. Still feels abit light at the front. Only handling mods are alloy wishbones and ICP front drop links.

Not that I know of. I've never removed rear struts. I don't think you can fit the camber bolts into the rear struts.

They appear to have been fixated on turning everything green.
Get them to maximise/equalise the front negative camber - even if it goes red.
Increase the rear toe-in to positive 15minutes per side - this will also go red.

So will that mean the wheels will face inwards from the top of the wheel, outwards?
Just don't understand why it's like this, all my other Impreza's have never been like this. Even my non turbo has better steering feel, and I've just replaced all the struts and had that tracked.

Of the non turbo? No idea, just took it to a local guy, as wanted to check i hadn't messed up camber as changed all the struts and of course had to remove camber bolts. He said it wasn't far out from what it should be.

The garage either don't know what they are doing or don't care. They have simply uploaded stock setting range and adjusted until all green and "in spec". You'll need to tell them exactly what you want or better still, take it to someone who knows what they are doing (and cares).

They have most likely set the car up to standard subaru specs, most bigger alignment type companies wont do anything else and also wont touch aftermarket suspension, its not a lack of care and attention at all, just they aren't going to risk setting a car up to fast road specs etc
OP when you say "light at the front"
is the car under steering or does the steering feel loose
uneven wear on a tyre suggests worn bushing etc

I read a few forum topics and quite a few people talk about steering bushes being replaced if the car is getting on a bit. Don't take my word for it though, have a little dig around the internet looking for info and make your own mind up.
Its got standard suspension, only upgraded wishbones to alloy STI ones, but steering was still light before that.
When i say light steering, i mean its very easy to move steering wheel, and doea seem much resistance.

if theres nothing a miss bush wise id say caster mods needed as mentioned above
West midlands, as said car has been like this for sometime. Doesn't feel to bad at slow speeds. But when speed is increased to 70mph steering starts feeling lighter. Anyone fairly local i could go too? Or any idea's of what it might be?

I should add that Peter used to work with Prodrive when they were building all the Subaru rally cars and road specials. He helped design the suspension set ups on those cars. He'd be my first point of call if I was in your position.
