AWD light on after change of tyre
I am starting a new thread here. Please see below all relevant posts

the important bit here
So I went to Colin Appleyard Manchester for the tyre to be replaced, as there was a big screw in it and it was not repairable.
They put a new one Dunlop 245/40 ZR18 97Y (car originally had 245/40 R18 97W)
and then the AWD amber light starts to flicker at speed over 30 mph
They told me that some control unit is far too sensitive (?known problem on the 2015 models?) and when a new tyre is placed this can happen.
So a new one will need to be ordered (under warranty) they don't know when it will come
On top of this they told me that it's OK to drive the car
What is all this...? I thought I bought a new car not to have all these silly electronic problems
Any ideas please?

See the reply I have received from Subaru UK, when I asked what is this that is happening
Dear
Please observe the caution in the owners handbook relating to tyre choice. All four tyres must be the same make/model degree of wear etc etc.
The use of one "odd" tyre such as you describe can and will lead to problems.
Tyre speed ratings are the maximum legal speed for the tyre. W rated tyres can be used up to speeds of 168 mph. This is not to say the tyre will fail at 169 mph. You may of course elect to fit tyres of a higher speed rating if you wish provided all four are changed as a set.
Your dealer is able to obtain like for like tyres to suit your car from our approved supplier Stapletons Tyre Services and will be able to advise if one or four is required.
We have received notification from Subaru Japan that the AWD warning light in some Imprezas can be over sensitive but our dealers are instructed to replace the unit only if the light illuminates when all four tyres are identical not when one is odd as is the case with your car.
Yours sincerely

Tyre warning light model or not these cars should have at least its same
Axle replaced with new tyres not singles same with most 4 wheel drive cars, if the opposite axle is quite worn then all 4 should be replaced.
