V6 type R @ torque GT
Right gents, I've been looking at a fresh import V6 type R on torque GTs website as a replacement for my GB270 and I'm just after any useful advice or thoughts on the car/price. So what does everyone think? Looks to be a clean enough car and I'm led to believe Torque GT are a reputable company but buying something straight off the boat feels like a bit of a leap of faith.
Ta,

They are buying straight from dealers for their own stock so there is no auction reports to go by just there word it's never been in an accident etc. Have any car they are selling checked by a competent person before parting with the last payment when you pick the car up!! Caveat Emptor

Torque GT are probably the most respected importer out there. You pay more, but you get peace of mind.
It could well be an auction car - give them a shout and ask if there's an auction sheet.
That's an on the road price, but won't include road tax or a security system.
Picking up a Civic FD2 for the other half from them next week.

Only thing that'd put me off would be the lack of original decals. I know some don't like them but it shows originality and is part of the STI DNA. It's also worth noting that they may have been removed due to paint repairs.
If I were paying £10k for a Type R, I'd want it to be an original example.
Fair enough a £5k V3-4 with no decals that's been around the block, but a £10k V6? Would definitely want one original.

nice looking car and if it comes to Torque it may be bought on auction, I got auction sheet from them for my car, also price included 12 months MOT, remap for UK fuel, 3 months warranty and they take care for all registration process so as mentioned above it's worth to pay a bit more and have a genuine car

I also heard good things about torque gt. I also spoke to them when I was looking to import a jdm hawk and they were very polite and always responded to e-mails promptly with detailed info.

Less and less Type R's about so prices are on the up. If I were to buy from them I would enquire about the price without the service and remap, just because I'd want it doing by someone close to me that I can trust and go back to without having to travel half way across the country for a map tweak or solve any problems that may arise.
As for the price, I'm happy about it, because I've got one, and it's nice to see they're on the up.
