My car sometimes boosts fine and sometimes it doesn't
I disconnected bcs and it worked as it should.
Probably answered my own question but is the bcs faulty or could it be something else?

car could be in limp mode due to knock and that would stop it activating the BCS. Do you have a diagnostic cable to check it?

 

unfortunately no i don't
most of the time its all good but sometimes its like a none turbo, im gonna buy a new bcs see if that cures it

Ok well if It doesn't then get a vag com lead for a few quid on ebay it will do for diagnostic

 

unfortunately it didnt cure the problem, i have no faults on the car dash. i may as well drive the wifes micra cause its flat as a fart

 

did you log the wastegate duty and manifold pressure when it's running fine and when it's playing about? Post up the LTV data from romraider logger maybe it has a clue.
