What paint code is the paint on your car? That might possibly help with the answers.....

Question

I've got a bit of a problem with the paint on my rear bumper. I've had the car for just over a year and back in November I noticed these little white dots on the corner of the bumper. Around that the paint looked like it was starting to crack. So I took it to my local dealer and got the dotty part resprayed. When I got my car back it looked great. Now the dots have come back!!!.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening, will it spread and did I get done over by the dealer who did the work?

Cheers

They're micro blisters. It's some sort of reaction in the paint which makes it... well, blister We had a big problem in the body shop where I used to work with Fiesta spoilers, we used to just replace them because the blisters just wouldn't go away

I'd go back to your dealer about it.

Best of luck

Thanks Bob

Will it spread or will it stay in the area it's in?

I had this on a Honda. It seems to be concentrated on areas where the bodywork curves or bends. Usually on bumpers (paint on plastic or fibreglass, not metal).

With regard to suggestions.....god knows. Bit of a p!sser really!! Maybe buy a big MAX POWER sticker and put it over the top of the blemishes....??!!

DAVYBOY has a huge "NURBURGRING" sticker on his Scooby. One of these should do the trick.

They're FREE!!!

.....just got to go to Germany to pick one up. Ends justify the means.

You usually just get them on plastic, fibreglass as said. They probably won't spread, might start popping and flaking off tho! Deffo go see your dealer tho

They're FREE!!!
No, they cost 4.5 Euros, 9 tanks of fuel, loads of bitburger, hotel acccomodation, food, and track passes.

And not forgetting the eurotunnel.
