How do i quieten my car down?
Right i have a bloody big exhaust and its a straight through, no cats or anything and its getting on my t1ts so need to quieten the car down, now my question is do i put the cats back on or get sports cat or whats best??? its a blob wrx and im completely lost on exhaust parts so any help will be so appreciated

I think I had an afterburner vortex on mine. I eventually chucked the f*cking thing in the bin and put the standard STI back box on. It was a million times better and doesn't **** me and all the neighbours off anymore. The downside is that it takes me 0.04 seconds longer to get to work.

In my particular case I was completely standard bar the backbox which was the only mod that the previous owner had made. He did it simply to amplify the burble, and it bloody did to the extreme. The burble is still there now, it's just a whole lot more subtle and makes driving the car a far more pleasant experience and much more socially acceptable. To be honest, I really can't tell a difference in performance.
I only posted because it's refreshing to hear that I am not the only person that doesn't feel the need for stupid exhausts on this forum.

ahhh right i see, the **** who had this car before me has had the back box welded to the centre pipe and a total bodge job so really need whole new exhaust but fk knows what im looking at
This is with no interior etc so would be alot quieter on a normal car
I wouldnt compare outside sounds too much as mine uses a totally different manifold etc, it will keep the burble on yours though
