Hatchback dumpvalve/BOV
I had a moment before I posted it thinking that it would be a good idea to get one, but in hindsight and from memory I had issues with the last one I had fitted to a GT4.
so in conclusion sanity has prevailed, no I'm not a troll
had a moment of childish want

No it wasn't a joke.

The OEM item is quite a cheap piece of kit but does its job very well, if you wish to replace it with aftermarket then make sure you go for something high quality that might improve on the original item. A lot of people recommend the Forge item.

Will just leave the one I got in, I don't plan on modifying the engine and happy enough with just a filter, exhaust and a map on it at the moment.
I don't drive it hard and it's a daily car so not planning on doing anything to get more power.
I saw forge recirc valves for sale but I have no issues with boost so stock is fine.
Just a moment of madness as a WR1 at my work passed me earlier with one on

I have just swapped my forge recirc back to the standard one, I found it wasn't performing well with my current turbo/map, even with the stiffest spring installed it was creeping open under heavy load, but it was fine with the standard WRX's turbo not overly loud just right. Might give that GFB one a try.
