Default Another PPP Query

Hi, I am new to the forum so hope you are all well.

I just purchased a 2010 WRX recently and I have a query about it.

I have driven several of these cars and this one feels noticeably quicker but it does not have a PPP cert in the history.

I purchased it from a garage and I know they don't take receipts and just take the history book.

Is there any way of telling that it has PPP on it?

It has the full Prodrive exhaust on it and Prodrive wheels. I would normally look for a blue Y piece but I cant even see where it would be on this car?

I called Subaru who didnt know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You brought it from a garage that don't take receipts? is that common practice? Seems a little odd not to take all the history of the car.

Every time I have traded a car in at a garage they have only taken the MOT and the service book.

I traded in my 330 18 months ago and it had a folder of stuff but they only wanted MOT and service.

This is not at the same garage by the way, this is several different places.

No idea why, thats why I normally like private sale as you get everything.

Strange, I've never brought a car from a garage. I just presumed you'd get everything!

No idea if they all do it but the last 6 cars I have purchased from a garage never had receipts, just MOT and Service book.

I love receipts, i enjoy looking through them all on the couch (sad I know)

Anyone got a pic of the pipe location on a 2010 car?

Chances are if it has a PPP backbox it will have the ppp, I called international motors to check mine had the 320 upgrade prior to buying and they confirmed for me and also sent me a cert.

Or your local dealer should be able to plug it in and it must say what is on the ECU if ppp, unless you have a custom map, then you could try contacting the previous owner?

Managed to speak to someone else at Subaru who have confirmed that it is a Prodrive car so I will be able to get another certificate. It doesnt come with a Y piece on this model.

So its now 265 hp I knew it was quicker than stock.

Thanks for help

Usually the PPP'd cars from dealership will have a prodrive sticker in the drivers door shut stating its PPP'd and inform your insurance.

Glad you resolved it anyway

Are there any official performance figures for this model with PPP?

Can find loads with older cars but not this shape.

Thanks

There is no sticker on the hatch to say prodrive is fitted but there should be a sticker at the bottom of the drivers b-pillar telling you what model you have and what power the engine is.

No sticker anywhere on the car. Doesn't matter as I know it has the PPP on it. Will get another cert sent from Subaru for a fee, of course

Mine has PPP fitted and the garage didn't even know what it was, got a 2 year extended fully comp warranty thrown in for an extra £350 as well.
Nearly took the sales guys hand off when he offered it.

I have claimed well in excess of £2k on it too.
