Non-Subaru cars on SIDC show days
Richard,
I saw those posts but they were predominantly regarding track sessions. I am more interested in shows, such as today where clubs are allocated specific paddock areas. I always prefer to be in the SIDC area, but isn't always possible.

Hi Cem.
It was always possible when you had a Scoob!
The SIDC does not restrict membership solely to people that own or drive Subaru Imprezas and it allows non-Subaru members to partake (within reason) in club activities such as track days, etc.
However, at public shows such as Castle Combe and TRAX, the club arenas are availalbe only to members with Subarus.
I think the reasoning for this is pretty straight froward, and I'm sure most non-Subaru owning members would understand that at these shows the club has to promote itself as the SIDC and not SI(&Anything Else)DC
. An SIDC stand with EVO's, Cossies, Westfields, Hondas and whatever esle on it wouldn't really project the desired image of the club, and we don't want a further influx of non-Scoobs joining for reasons that everyone is all too familiar with.
Feel free to contact myself or the club at anytime if you disagree.

At ardoe house this weekend in aberdeen ( first rs show of the season ) there were quite a few scoobs and so on there, and they were more than welcome. Along with a few capri's xr's and morris minor and other odds n sods, its good to see all cars at these events.
