Cheers mate . Matt's wheel need a refurb and until I get the spacers/bolts sorted are a non-starter. Will they fit the ST 2's fit without spacers over the 4 pots?

If you don't mind, me and Jo could pop up Sunday if your about?

I had a chat with Matt last night and decided that changing the wheels is a bit prohibitive.

To fit the Speedlines he as for sale means new longer hub bolts, 10 mm spaces (to be safe) and the new a refurb. So, the OE 5 Spokes are off to nice man in Bridgend () then some new rubber. It works out cheaper in the long run too.

But a maaooossssive thanks buddy to Jay for a loan of the other Speedlines.

The seats look pretty clean in the car but having the cleaning tools I decided to have a go. The drivers seat could have been a CSI site.

The results where pretty surprising. It's not Guinness

The seat looks good though .

Jay,

I have an Aquarius Aqua Valet machine, with VW Quantum upholstery cleaner ( Ty). You can borrow it or come down with Alisa for an afternoon session on Bank Holiday.

Wow that's shocking. And your car is a low milage example imagine what a high milage seat would produce.

Thanks Ian , I have a Vax with the tools to do car upholstery but not used them as yet so I'll see how I get on. I've read previous that you or Ty has used Quantum before with good results so I'll buy a 5l can, I need to do Alisa's car too as the light grey seat's are a nightmare and in dia need of a good clean.

Used my Vax to do my carpet and seats and it worked very well.
Amazing to see the dirt that's left inside the tank at the end.

Uch a fi.

Jay, you can get that Quantum upholstery cleaner from any VAG group dealer, if you are struggling to get hold of some then let me know and I can get some quickly for you.

It's good stuff, I borrowed Ian's cleaner before and with the Quantum cleaner it brought the seats and carpets up very nicely indeed.

When I have been cleaning the car the dirt behind the scuttle as been bugging me, so I bit the bullet this afternoon and got it off.

The problem with the scuttle cover are the clips. They are brittle and not cheap to replace. So after a bit of head scratching and testing I discovered that if you can use a 4.5 mm socket and slide it over the end. They still need to be treated gently but you can prize them out with a small flat edge.

Sadly the rain came and put pay to cleaned up after pictures.

Wiped the front driving lights out on Sunday. Wildlife and some very old grime to be cleaned up.

Very old grime that took some Meguiars Colour Restorer to remove after a good soak of soapy water.

Lovely.

She's off to Three Arches for a new OS Cam Gasket Kit to be fitted. Then the backbox is getting swapped out for an STI OE one.
