Thanks to Mr Godney at Godspeed. These have been refurbed, stainless pistons fitted and he now powdercoats the calipers. When I have highlighted the letters in white they will be fitted along with the discs.
A lovely job too.

Update soon hopefully.

Popped down to Llandow today to meet up with Matt. I collected this:-

I'll be trying to fit the wheel after the 4 pots go on, but it looks like I'll need some spacers as the ET is 55. The best option is probably a set of 5mm hub centric, although I do have a pair of 3.5mm to check. If they fit I'll get the rest from Matt and asking a nice man to get them refurbed.
I'll get at the embossed SUBARU letters on the calipers tomorrow.

Thank you mate.
I have also decided not to use the Rallytech cool flap and alternator cover. I bought them off Merv fully intending to fit them but along with the engine dress up bolt/washer kit they will be with their new owner at the next meeting.

Finished off the Calipers by painting the embossed letters. I have done a few sets now and managed to get it down to a fine art with White Hammerite Smooth.

A couple of these.

A gloss roller, with a small amount of paint to dab on and build up slowly.

And repeat.

Leave to dry and get a cuppa on.

Managed to fit the 4 pots, new pads and discs today.
Pretty straight forward really but I soaked all the pins, springs etc for the brake pads and now I cannot find the bloody crucifix shaped pressure clips
. They are here somewhere but I am buggered if I can find them.
The caliper bolts needed a fair bit of penetrator oil, they where fewking tight.

I fitted the 5mm spacers and the wheels just clear the brakes, *** paper anyone?

I think for piece of mind I'll get another set of hub centric spacers. The number of turns of the nut is not that many.

Ian, nice work - I'll get you a tin of a very special penetrative spray we use at work and I'll give it to you at the meet.
This stuff is brilliant, it'll save you a lot of elbow grease.

. The spacers and wheel studs are the priority for now. The normal alloys are back on but the bloody tyres are pretty shot, so may need to borrow some wheels for a short while.
If some kind person is looking in
