Stained bugeye interior and 5 speed box, god knows what engine.
Does look sti but wrong intercooler.
Its made of bits. Mostly wrx at that.

There are some scamming ******* out there, feel sorry for the poor barsteward that buys that heap of **** for a tenner never mind £7k.

Could well be that the trader's genuinely taken it in part ex and just not known what to look for. Let's be honest, could you tell the intricacies of a special edition Mazda/BMW etc unless you spent several weeks researching it as a prospective purchase? It looks (vaguely) like a WR1, it says WR1 on the logbook...chances are it's a WR1. Obviously that's bollocks and it's a GX or Sport in drag (IIRC they came in this blue as standard) with some dress up bits, and at best a WRX engine of unknown provenance...

That is no excuse for then trying to pass it on as something it is clearly not. If it is missing most of the parts that make it a WR1, then it isn't a WR1.

I'd missed the post where it was clear the trader knew of it's status. Genuine mistakes are fair enough but once they know they're obliged to make it clear as to its shortcomings. No excuses, not that this trader seems to be too fussed about that...

As a trader he should be aware of the trades discription act.
You can not legally sell something if it is not what it says on the tin.
And he is doing just that by asking that kind of money for it.
