They haven't contacted me yet. Probably cos I told them after 15 years as an owner I was really disappointed with their lack support with issues on the car and with an exdealer. IM have the worst customer service/support I have ever come across.

Sad to hear that buddy.

Are the any dealers on here that can answer my "how many's left" question?

Or will it be a case of if people keep buying them, they will keep sending them across the water?

It will be limited this year but they will open the flood gates next year. However I get the impression this is a test of the market as they weren't coming but my gut instinct says most sales will be those wanting to be one of the first to get their hands on one which equals ok sales this year and probably dire next year making yours quite a rarity - enjoy it!

I've managed to bag one of these - should get it first week of May.

Used to own a Sti Type-UK back in 2005. Had a few different cars since then, currently driving a Mountuned Focus RS mk2 which is going in for the Subaru.

Anyone else on here getting one? Anyone got some interesting info (there is very little out there, even the dealers don't know much?)

Will the tax be close to £500? Will they need to drink Super-Unleaded?
Hi mate, i'm also a previous focus RS owner and have placed a deposit on a WR blue WRX STI. Had a quick stint in a audi S3 which i currently drive but it just doesn't do it for me, no fun to drive.
Had 2 WRX imprezas previously which i loved, and as soon as i seen the new STI just had to have one, looks so much better than some of the more recent STI's IMO.
Bit of a gamble on a car that's not over here yet and not been test driven but didn't want to wait and risk not having one. Going to be a long couple of months waiting, can't wait :-) just hope it hasn't lost any of that burble that i loved.

Handling wise yes, power wise I'd say maybe torque.

I went from. 265 WRX-s to a new Sti saloon in 2010, and I could hardly tell to be honest.

But when I went from an Astra Vxr at 250 to the 265 WRX I noticed like hell, the torque was massive compared, 2.5 vs 2.0l

My 296.5BHP 2.0L classic just has the edge on my 320R (319.9BHP on the same dyno) and they are both running the same gearbox. Interestingly they haven't released the weight for the new STI.

Good luck getting the stated 40mpg from the A45.
Personally think that Subaru have the most accurate MPG figures in the real world. I've had 2 XVs for work and they've done the 50+ MPG with ease. STi averaged around the 26mpg. Bigger manufacturers seem more able to work around the MPG / CO2 figures.

My Mrs has a new A class that was delivered last weekend. Not an A45 though. Nice enough car. Very cramped in the back.

Fuel economy - see here;

Think I upset an A45 amg driver the otherday, when pulled away from him in my wrx wagon! I put my hazards on when i turned off and he wouldnt even acknowledge me! This thing looked like it had drove through the amg factory and came out with every extra! Might have been the big wing slowing it down lol

I'm literally going stir-crazy. Think it will be about 3 weeks till anymore info released.

On a side-note. Has anyone ever used Armorall Shield Wax before? Thinking of getting some to slap-on the Sti when it's nice and new.

Yeah bought some instead of using hard wax, found it left what I can only call an oily film on the car.I rewashed the car and used my normal wax and threw the Amorall in the bin.Would not recommend it certainly on a brand new motor

Yes, we are at Mangoletsi, roughly £399 per month, it's the same £399 per month for personal contract purchase too.

Thanks for that info.

Have you any idea what the total amount sold is, including a breakdown of the colours? I imagine blue will be the highest? Must admit I was VERY tempted with black....but bottled it and chose blue!
